Alabama Numeracy Act

The Alabama Numeracy Act, established in 2022, is designed to improve mathematics proficiency for Alabama public school students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It focuses on identifying students who need additional math support, providing evidence-based instruction and intervention, monitoring student progress, and strengthening mathematics instruction across schools. The goal is for students to demonstrate mathematical proficiency at or above grade level by the end of fifth grade.
