Who is the Sycamore Elementary School Counselor?
Hello, my name is Marianne Garrett. I am so thankful to be a part of the Sycamore Elementary School family. I have worked with the Talladega County School System for over 23 years as a school counselor and as an elementary teacher. I am a 1990 alumni graduate of Winterboro School. Also, I am an active member of the Mu Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I have been married for over 25 years and the mother of a college student. I always say, “Life is all about what you make of it. You can make it good or bad. The choice is yours.” As a school counselor, I plan to continue fostering a culture of kindness, bridging the gaps in parental involvement, and meeting the needs of ALL students. As stated, I am super excited to work with the faculty, students, staff, parents, and community. Looking forward to another outstanding year!
